An Interview with John Melley
John is the Production Director for Boston’s award winning* Mix 104.1 (WBMX).
Prior to joining Mix in December of 2001, John worked at Boston’s Original Oldies station, Oldies 103.3 (WODS) from 1994 to 2001. John has also worked at other radio stations in the Greater Boston area.
He has experience working on many freelance projects for Radio and Television, Characters for Video Games, Audio Books, Podcasts, Web Sites and Video Sales Letters.
John is the creator of a product called the AudioMERCIALTM, a powerful marketing tool designed to position Entrepreneurs and business owners as celebrities and experts in their profession.
John has studied voice acting with Pat Fraley whose credits include “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, Emmy Award winning Ed Asner, Brad Garret from “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “‘Til Death”, Rob Paulsen from “Animaniacs”, Vanessa Marshall and Rodney Saulsberry.
John recently voiced the TV commercials for a new Jerry Seinfeld Production called “Colin Quinn, Long Story Short.” He can be heard in the U.S. and Canada on Irving Oil radio commercials and more.
John also comes from a family business background. His family used to own a retail greeting card and social stationery printing business. He’s been at the shop before sunrise and gone home long after sunset. He understands the many hats business owners wear to develop their businesses. He knows how they “butter their bread” and their need to have the most effective marketing possible.
John is a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and lives with his lovely wife Ann in the Boston area.
