Private Practice 2.0

Right now, all of the USA is at a crossroads for sure. Health care is no exception. In fact, it’s been in the sights of the media for some time now. We’re seeing the effects of declined revenue streams in crumbling institutions elsewhere, and unfortunately in health care too.

More and more, hospitals and professional practices alike are finding daily operational capitol strained to the max. Once lucrative venues have been eliminated or slashed. In many cases, procedure reimbursement from 3rd parties alone is unsustainable.

All of this has us thinking about what the next generation, Private Practice 2.0 is going to look like.

What are the skill sets we’ll have to possess?

Private Practice 2.

About the only clear thing is that there will likely be a BIG separation between “public” and government/insurance controlled systems and self-pay.  And likely a widening gap in care quality, the exact opposite of the philosophical intent of “universal” care.

But most especially for this discussion, many current private practice models will continue to fall.

How this plays out in the real world over the next 2-5 years will be interesting to say the least. Politicians and actuaries versus doctors and patients.

But for those of us on the outside of the public systems, this can also mean incredible opportunity.

And that’s what Private Practice 2.0 is all about.

Over the next several days in a unique series of events, we’ll be exploring these implications, and  the impact of TODAY’s  decisions.

But most importantly, we’ll give you Private Practice 2.0
